A lot can happen in an internet minute [Infographic]

New Yorkers will tell you that a lot can happen in a ‘New York minute’ and it’s also one of the fastest minutes you’ll ever experience. In this new tech age where we are all plugged in, the internet is our fast-paced minute. What could possibly happen in one internet minute? Intel decided to try and answer that question.

According to the chip manufacturer, the number of networked devices we have today is equal to the global population — yep that seems about right. By 2015, the number of networked devices will be twice the global population, where are we going to put them all? The infographic shows what is going on the net every single minute. A lot can happen in an internet minute: 47 000 apps are downloaded, 204-million emails sent, six new articles are added to Wikipedia and Amazon makes US$83 000 in sales (in one minute!).

In one minute social networks blow up: 100 new accounts are created on LinkedIn and 320 on Twitter. There are 100 000 tweets every 60 seconds and 277 000 Facebook logins — check out the infographic for more staggering numbers.

  • Right that millions of the things takes place in a minute and specially on the social communities more. As now more and more people began to connect with any of social media and they have started to share things with their friends and other people and this sharing takes place at every second. And thanks for such nice infographics.
