Angry Birds cartoon series will smash into screens come 16 March
If a plethora of games, merchandise and soft drinks aren’t satisfying your Angry Birds cravings, you’ll soon be able to tuck into a web-based cartoon series too.
Rovio today announced that the series, to be called Angry Birds Toons will debut on 16 March.
According to Rovio, the “series that throws the doors to Piggy Island wide open!” “For the first time ever,” it says, “you can get up close and personal with your favorite characters. Join us every week starting the weekend of March 16th for a brand new episode featuring the latest adventures of the birds and pigs!”
A new episode will apparently be uploaded to the web every week. Rovio hasn’t given any indication of how long the show will last, but if its track-record with the games is anything to go by, it could be forever.
