Angry Birds cartoon series will smash into screens come 16 March

If a plethora of games, merchandise and soft drinks aren’t satisfying your Angry Birds cravings, you’ll soon be able to tuck into a web-based cartoon series too.

Rovio today announced that the series, to be called Angry Birds Toons will debut on 16 March.

According to Rovio, the “series that throws the doors to Piggy Island wide open!” “For the first time ever,” it says, “you can get up close and personal with your favorite characters. Join us every week starting the weekend of March 16th for a brand new episode featuring the latest adventures of the birds and pigs!”

A new episode will apparently be uploaded to the web every week. Rovio hasn’t given any indication of how long the show will last, but if its track-record with the games is anything to go by, it could be forever.

  • Hi there. Thanks for reading!

Qube really is an excellent title and I agree with your sentiment on if it was released first. I made the Portal comparison because it is one people will jump to, though I honestly believe with some more TLC Qube could go toe to toe with Valve’s title.

Thanks for the Anti Chamber review and I’ll check it out! :)

  • Thanks for reading and the kind comment :)

Glad you’re getting the game and will be keen on hearing your thoughts on it. Don’t forget to look out for the secret puzzles.

  • Secret puzzles you say….ok, now I am really looking forward to this game. Can’t wait to get home to give it a go.
