Tim Burton stars in Samsung’s ‘Unicorn Apocalypse’ Oscar ad
Samsung just cannot stop showing off how much it’s got and it seems to be loving cosying up to Hollywood. In its latest ad installment that aired during the Academy Awards, the mobile phone manufacturer decided to go more Hollywood. The commercial features famed macabre director and producer, Tim Burton, discussing a possible movie.
Earlier this month the Korean tech giant featured actors Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd, as well as basketball star LeBron James, in its Super Bowl to promote “the next big thing”. The Oscars commercial sees the mobile giant return to its “Unicorn Apocalypse” series which it kicked off earlier this year.
The ad depicts a fun, relaxed fictional mobile game development studio and the happenings surrounding its most successful game, “Unicorn Apocalypse”. Burton is brought in as a possible director choice to turn the game into a blockbuster movie.
