Google the word “gay” right now. Go on, don’t be afraid.
Fine. If you’re going to be that weird about your search history, here’s what comes up:
Google is proudly gay friendly and the easter egg is in support of marriage equality. The easter egg comes as the same time US Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act which denied benefits to same-sex married couples and a California state law enacted in 2008, called Proposition 8, that banned gay marriage.
The company has come out in defense of Gay Marriage before. Last year the company made a video when four states were considering gay marriage ballot initiatives.
