Ever wonder why some selfies take off and others fizzle? Well Dan Zarrella of HubSpot recently compiled a data set of 160 000 selfies to get to the bottom of it. Zarrella drew images from Instagram and analyzed their text, tags, colour composition, and filter usage.
The results are pretty fascinating, with #drunk coming in as the least successful hashtag, and #pretty as the most. So stop posting your pretty drunk selfies, because we all know they’re actually just average. Also, did you know that Willow is the most popular filter?
