The first trailer for Michael Fassbender’s Steve Jobs is out
Universal Studios has finally released the first trailer for its Steve Jobs biopic. The controversy surrounding this film has built as much interest about it as the person it depicts. It is anticipated to be a better stab at Steve Jobs’ life than Jobs, in which Ashton Kutcher manages to look like Steve Jobs and not much else.
The film is based on Walter Isaacson’s biography of the late Apple co-founder.
Aaron Sorkin, screenwriter, appears to have unleashed some jams on the script too (as he did on The Social Network). “The musicians play the instruments, I play the orchestra” and “You cannot write code”. You are not an engineer” What do you do?.”
The film is directed by Danny Boyle, who has previously directed Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire, and 28 Days Later. The combination of Sorkin who has a neck for witty dialogue, and Boyle, whose visual energy is contested by few, is exciting and it will be interesting to see what these two have come up with.

Michael Fassbender, of 12 years a Slave and X Men: Origins, plays Jobs and can be seen in the trailer in one of Apple’s launches. Seth Rogen plays Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. Other actors in the film include Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels.
The release date is now 9 October 2015, with imdb showing that the film is in Post-Production. This is a relief considering that the film was ditched by Sony, changed actors, changed directors and had a very uncertain future.
