Woolies customer reports finding worst surprise in sandwich, grosses Twitter out
When it comes to finding unexpected things in a sandwich, we’re willing to suggest that a condom is undoubtedly among the grossest. It sounds like a nightmare, but for one Woolworths customer that nightmare allegedly became all too real on Monday.
Twitter user Jayden on Monday afternoon posted a tweet describing what had happened as well photos of the sandwich, and prophylactic, in question:

Given Woolworths’ high profile on social media, it should hardly be surprising that the tweet attracted a fair amount of attention, with reactions split between those who were completely grossed out and those who tried to find a funny side to the whole situation:
.@mkhontokayise1 Hi Jade! Our marketing for World AIDS day was a roaring success, you've won a free HIV test! Well done! Be blessed.

At this stage, it’s worth noting that the veracity of the claims has not been established but we sincerely hope that, for the sake of the tweeter’s dignity, this isn’t a hoax.
