With just 89 days left until the City of Cape Town screws shut the city’s taps, Twitter this weekend decided to enlighten others on water saving measures.

Others called into question government’s slow response, or lack of a response entirely.

And others issued statements that seem a little too late.

Daryl Impey wins Tour Down Under overall…

South African cyclist Daryl Impey has this weekend won the Tour Down Under — his first general classification win.

“It all seems impossible until it’s done,” Impey tweeted from Australia this weekend.

… as Nicholas Dlamini takes Kings of the Mountains

Also in the Tour Down Under, South Africa’s Nicholas Dlamini has won the King of the Mountains title for being the most consistent rider on the climbs.

It’s also a first for South Africa, and Dlamini, for whom it was his first professional race.

#WomensMarch, #TogetherWeRise and #MeToo marches across the world

In the States, American women marked the first anniversary of Trump’s rise to power with a countrywide march.

Celebrities lead the sentiment on Twitter.
