Star Trek: Discovery is getting a third season
CBS has confirmed that Star Trek: Discovery is getting a third season, the company announced on Thursday.
“The massive success of Star Trek: Discovery’s second season launch exceeded our expectations in both driving subscriber growth and generating a phenomenal response from Star Trek fans,” a company executive said on CBS’s website.
The series showrunners, Michelle Paradise and Alex Kurtzman, will return to produce season three.
“We look forward to continuing Star Trek: Discovery’s journey, growing the Star Trek franchise on CBS All Access and bringing fans new Star Trek stories for many years to come.”
Star Trek: Discovery’s third season will be one of many Star Trek related projects CBS has in the works.
The company did not reveal when the new season will hit streaming services.
