Google Maps celebrates April Fools Day with a Snake game
In honour of April Fools Day on Monday, Google added a new Snake-inspired game to Google Maps.
“To start playing, simply open the Google Maps app, tap on the menu icon on the top left corner, then select “Play Snake” to get your daily dose of 90s nostalgia,” the company said on its blog.
Players can choose from a number of locations around the world and then navigate through a map as a snake-like bus or train.
The aim is to pick up as many passengers as you can without touching the edges of the map or yourself.
Snake is available on both Android and iOS, and will remain on Google Maps for a week.
“Anticipating a snake addiction? Us, too. Head over to our standalone site to keep playing, long after April Foolsss is over,” the company noted further.
