The Netflix matchup between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has redefined what a modern boxing event can be, fusing old-school boxing prestige with digital-age…
(Spoilers) 5 things everyone who watched Avengers: Endgame definitely did
When I said I was itching to watch Avengers: Endgame again, I meant it. In fact, since the first screening I saw last Wednesday, I watched the movie twice more.
Despite having to witness my favourite Avenger die three times, I also got to observe the audience’s reaction to the world renowned movie’s twists and turns over and over again.
1. Thanos getting his head chopped off
This resulted in gasps and confusion every time, presumably because the movie had just started and no one expected the villain’s death so early on.
2. “Five Years Later”
A moment that triggered an echoing chorus of “What!” that lasted almost as long as the words took to appear on screen.
3. That melted ice-cream joke
Thor being compared to “melted ice-cream” got way more laughs than it should, every single time.
4. Captain America uses Mjolnir
The collective shouts of joy, and round of applause when everyone realised Captain America can use Mjolnir (Thor’s hammer) was infectious.
5. Iron Man saves the universe
Another moment of audience-wide celebration when Tony Stark uses the Infinity Stones, and utter silence a few minutes later when it becomes obvious that Iron Man won’t survive.
During my observations some audiences were much better behaved than others, but each of them almost always reacted the same way to Endgame’s biggest moments.
