Avengers: Endgame tops R89.4m at the SA box office in its third week
There’s no denying that Avengers: Endgame has been a hit worldwide, but it’s also fairly popular in South Africa.
According to data from Filmfinity, the Marvel Studios-crafted Russo Brothers-directed three-hour epic has racked up R89 485 316 in its three weeks on circuit locally.
It also spent its third week atop of the SA box office tree.
Adding a little over R15-million in its third week, it still languishes behind Black Panther — the most lucrative movie ever released in South Africa. It made over R100-million locally.
Endgame‘s run is far from over though, and we may have to bow down to a new king of movie earnings by next weekend.
