Adding music to your Instagram Stories? You can now include song lyrics too
In May, The Verge reported that Instagram was testing a song lyrics feature for the music stickers in Instagram Stories. Today, the social network announced that all can now make use of the feature.
“Today we are bringing lyrics to the music sticker so you can express yourself and share the mood of any moment,” the company tweeted on Thursday.
According to Instagram’s linked help page, lyrics are only available for some songs on the platform.
“If lyrics are available for the song you select, you can choose different fonts and designs for them, and you can edit which part of the song you want to play,” it explained.
“When someone watches your story, they can tap the lyrics to learn more about the artist or listen to more of the song.”
The company also made the announcement alongside musician Billie Eilish, who showcased the feature in her own Instagram Stories feed.
We’ve not yet received the new feature on our devices, but expect the addition to filter through soon enough.
