Bring back old Twitter with this Firefox and Chrome addon
I’m probably the only person that actually likes Twitter’s interface change on desktop. But if you’re not weird, and one of the normal folk on the internet who loved old Twitter, you probably hate it.
Good news, because there’s a way to get it back.
A browser extension called GoodTwitter authored by Reddit user u/LorddDarky (Zusor on Github) is completely free, open source, and does just that. It’s also receiving a slew of green arrows. (100% upvote rate on Reddit from 339 votes? That’s about the best review you can get on the internet).
Once installed, you visit Twitter on desktop and then hit CTRL-R. This then brings the old, sorry, “good” Twitter, back.
The addon already has more than 2000 users on Firefox, and nearly 68 000 on Chrome. And the project itself is open source, so if you feel you can tidy up the code, Zusor would probably welcome that.
You can find GoodTwitter for Chrome and Firefox on their respective addon repositories.
