Google Fit finally gets a dark mode, and detailed sleep tracking

Google Fit

In an attempt to aid users’ sleeping patterns, Google on Friday revealed a new sleep insights feature and a dark mode on Google Fit.

The health-montoring app can now track your sleep patterns and connect to your third-party sleep apps to compile “charts that show you your sleep patterns over time”. You can also edit your sleep history too.

“Now you can enable dark theme to help you wind down at the right time and get a better night’s sleep,” Google further revealed.

According to the company, dark mode can also save battery life and be less harmful to users eyes.

The company is also expanding Google Fit’s Android workout summary and route tracking features to iOS devices too.

The updates to Google Fit set to roll out to Android and iOS over the course of this week.
