You can now choose Issa Rae to be your Google Assistant voice
Earlier this year Google users in the United States got to enjoy John Legend’s voice as their Google Assistant.
Now, Google has once again added a limited-edition cameo voice to the Assistant’s arsenal, this time in the form of actress, writer and producer Issa Rae.
Rae is known for her roles in Awkward Black Girl and A Black Lady Sketch Show, to name a few.
“To switch to Issa’s voice, simply say ‘Hey Google, talk like Issa’, or go to your ‘Assistant voice’ in Assistant Settings,” the company explained on its blog.
You can also ask the Assistant to tell you a joke, a secret or “something awkward” to hear the cameo voice.
“Responses to all other questions will continue to be in one of the original Assistant voices,” Google further noted.
Like John Legend, Issa Rae’s voice is also exclusively available in the US for both iOS and Android users.
