YouTube launches new Super Stickers feature for creators
YouTube is giving creators another way to raise money on the platform with its new Super Stickers.
Like the company’s Super Chat feature, viewers in some countries will now be able to buy and send stickers to their favourite YouTubers during live streams or Premiere events. Once purchased, the stickers will be highlighted in the live chat for YouTubers to see.
“Our initial release comes with eight distinct sticker packs, five of which are animated and have unique bios that add even more colour to your connections with fans,” YouTube said on its blog.
The stickers include Popo the hippopotamus, Bushiba and Energetic Lemon.
“Our first launch and upcoming launches of Super Stickers include translated sticker packs for English, French, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese,” YouTube further revealed.
YouTubers can manually enable the Super Stickers function on their channel, but the feature is automatically available with Super Chat.
According to YouTube, more sticker packs will launch on the platform soon.
