Google updates its product search for Black Friday craze
In just a few days (November 28) Americans will flock to their Walmarts and Best Buys with the hope of getting the latest deals on practically everything under the sun. Before they succumb to this Black Friday ritual though, about 50% of 25-34 year-olds will use their phone to browse and shop for products online while standing in line at their favourite stores, at least according to Google.
Half of all the shoppers is quite a large chunk, which means that Google is rolling out new features that hopes to make mobile shoppers’ lives easier.
Starting this week, when you search for a specific product on your smartphone or tablet you’ll see more detailed information about the product and where to buy it, like which stores have it available and product reviews from customers. You’ll also be able to rotate selected products on Google Shopping in 360 degrees to see them in more detail.
