South Africa’s 5 most retweeted tweets of 2018
On Wednesday, social network Twitter shed some light on some of its 2018 metrics, including South Africa’s most popular hashtags, and the country’s most popular tweets.
While one would think that the most retweeted tweet would focus on politics, the country’s SOE crises, or anything to do with sport, it’s not the case.
These are the most retweeted tweets of the year in South Africa according to Twitter.
Published in July, this repost of a clip filmed by Africa News tells the story of a 11-year-old Nigerian artist who has a particular talent for producing life-like portraits.
At the time of writing, it received more than 300 000 retweets across the social network, with 430 000 likes.
