Microsoft says farewell to Internet Games on Windows XP, ME and 7
Microsoft is bringing support for its Internet Games to an end on Windows XP, Windows ME and Windows 7.
The games include Backgammon, Checkers, Spades, Hearts, Reversi and MSN Go.
“We truly appreciate all the time and passion you’ve put into Microsoft Internet Games. This has been a great community. However, the time has come for us, along with our hardware and software partners, to invest our resources towards more recent technologies, ” the company said on its blog.
According to Microsoft, Windows XP and ME support will expire on 31 July 2019, while Windows 7 users can still enjoy the old games until 22 January 2020.
