As Cape Town-based General Manager at Acceleration Media, Stephanie Houslay leads the company's growth in the Western Cape region. Steph has extensive experience in managing global and local multichannel accounts across industries as diverse as fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals and telecoms, and is passionate about branding, strategic communications, social marketing and business sustainability. She has built broad and deep marketing communications experience on both the agency and client sides during her career, including time spent working on above and below the line advertising accounts for TBWA and Ogilvy in South Africa. During a four-year stay in the United Kingdom, she was the Global Account Director on Vodafone for the WPP Group, the network activation team lead on the Global Nokia Account for J Walter Thompson, and filled the role of Marketing & Communications manager for South African Tourism. Steph holds a B.com Marketing Management and BA Honours Marketing Communications from Rand Afrikaans University as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Advancement and Resource Mobilisation from Rhodes Business School. She has lectured marketing communications students at the University of Johannesburg and the Oxford Business School in the United Kingdom.
