Somewhere between Call of Duty, gamers get girls [Infographic]
I suppose no matter how far we evolve in our perception of what is cool there will be stragglers who still find geekdom hard to comprehend and wonder why any girl would give a geek the time of day. Anyone who watches The Big Bang Theory will find reason to agree and disagree that sentiment. With all the World of warcrafting, Halo and Mass effecting going on are these geek boys too consumed in their game world to get a girl?
Apparently not, because gaming geeks are getting girls according to this infographic. If they spend all their time gaming, just under 35 hours a month on the average, where are they meeting these girls? Online of course. According to a World of Warcraft survey, gamers are dating each other — go figure. Apparently 42% of female gamers are attracted to other gamers, so not only are gamers getting girls the girls are coming to them.
This infographic put together by Online University, an academic resource site, uses data from WoW to match up the numbers of our gaming and dating relate.
