Sony encourages cliff jumping
Extreme sports enthusiasts around the world rejoice! Sony has announced a new camera that will compete with GoPro’s Hero2 domination of the extreme video camera market.
It hasn’t yet been released, but Sony has posted some teaser shots of its new offering. It looks rugged and healthy in its plastic armour, and quite appealing too.
Sony hasn’t said anything about the specifications of the camera, but expect them to be on par with the Hero2 or better. So that’s at least 11 megapixels and very HD recording. If you don’t know already, extreme sports enthusiasts have been using the GoPro for many of their DVD movies, so Sony will have to be on its game to compete.
