HTC Desire X unleashed and destined for South Africa come October
IFA 2012 pumps out another phone, the HTC Desire X. Does HTC’s last flagship “X” phone, the One X warrant an addition to the family? Hell yes, and here’s why.
The HTC Desire X rocks a dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 CPU, Beats Audio (which the One X also boasts), Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4-inch super LCD WVGA, a 5MP camera and a bonus feature, 25GB storage for Dropbox. In all, a decent package but what sets it apart from the One X?
Here’s what the PR people say. “HTC Desire X is an extension of your social life. If you’re looking to enjoy and share high quality multimedia, wherever you are, this is the phone for you. It not only looks and sounds great, but also provides a super-fast, highly personal mobile experience at a great price.” We can’t test the speed and sound of the device, but HTC sounds impressed by it? Perhaps it’s the camera tech that will set it apart from the rest. HTC now has VideoPic, which apparently lets users record still and video images at the same time.
The HTC Desire X hits “select markets” in September, with South Africa expected to get the device come October.
