Nexus 7 finally gets 3G
One of the only drawbacks to the Nexus 7 (and there are very few) is that it has no mobile connectivity. Most other tablets have a SIM slot for 3G connection, but up until now the Nexus 7 has had to rely solely on Wi-Fi.
According to Paul O’Brien at MoDaCo, an insider at Asus has leaked the release of the much anticipated 3G version of the Nexus. It is the one thing the Nexus was missing. It is said that it will be released in about six weeks. Pricing is not yet known, but it will obviously carry a premium over its Wi-Fi only sibling.
