’12 Days of Deals’ is Microsoft Stores’ answer to Black Friday
“12 Days of Deals” is the name of the special sale US-based Microsoft stores are running from 9 December, said a poster from forum SlickDeals. The 12 days are listed below, with a US$20 GTA V standing out as the most tempting bargain, for us anyway. All prices listed below are for the first 20 customers only though, so it’ll be a bit of a Black Friday rush for most.
Prices listed below are all in US Dollars
Dec 09 – Dell Tablet $99
Dec 10 – Garmin Fitness Watch + $25 Gift card $99.99
Dec 11 – AT&T Nokia 1020 – Free
Dec 12 – Fitbit Flex and Yurbuds Fitness Earbuds w/$25 gift card $99.99
Dec 13 – GTA 5 $20 (assume xbox360 only)
Dec 14 – Surface Pro combo deal $100 off
Dec 15 – Xbox Music pass 1 year $30
Dec 16 – HP Pavilion X2 13 $599
Dec 17 – 60% off SOL Republic Headphones $40
Dec 18 – AT&T Lumia 1520 Free and $50 app card w/purchase
Dec 19- JBL Flip Bluetooth Speaker $40
Dec 20 – HP Envy 15 $499
There is no way to verify this leak, but the bargains mentioned above also come with a printed cheat sheet for Microsoft Store employees:
How about that “free” Nokia 1020 from US telecom AT&T? Our best guess is that Lumia is free, on contract. As for the US$599 HP Pavilion X2 13, Microsoft has slashed roughly US$200 off the price, and that is for a laptop with a touchscreen. Can’t beat that price.
This is an interesting move by Microsoft to cash in on the extremely lucrative Black Friday buzz from last week. Black Friday is when stores in the US slash prices for electronic goods on a first come, first served basis. The 12 Days of Deals is more of the same from Microsoft, but is limited to the first 20 customers per day. If the leak is accurate, then Microsoft’s big reveal has been swept aside. Microsoft is yet to confirm or deny the leaked deals.
