Dell announces impressive 24″ and ‘world’s most affordable’ 4K Monitor
While we all love seeing 4K display’s popping up from every corner over the last year or so, they all seem more like giant televisions than a crisp, clear desktop alternative. Anything past the 30″ mark should be considered television, living room material and not much else. Until now it seems as a very impressive 24″ UHD Monitor by Dell has been announced together with the “world’s most affordable” 28″ Ultra HD Monitor.
The Ultra HD, slash 3840×2160, slash four times full HD monitor is Dell’s highest pixel density yet. Officially known as Dell’s UltraSharp 24 Monitor -– UP2414Q, it’s meant to be perfect for anything from video editing, CGI animation and game/app development.
Furthermore, it has an impressive 178º/178º Viewing Angle. The UltraSharp 24 monitor also has an HDMI, DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort, four USB 3.0 ports and a 6-in-1 media card reader. The stand enables you tilt, swivel and adjust the monitor’s height with ease. It also has 99 percent AdobeRGB which is touted as being the highest level in the industry.
Dell officially announced this bad boy together with an UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD Monitor and an insanely priced sub-US$1000 Dell 28 Ultra HD Monitor coming soon.
The latter is expected to be launched “early 2014” and has multiple features for adjusting the display, including the ability to pivot to portrait mode, plus multi-task applications. Dell further notes that the energy-efficient monitor has “multiple input ports that allow users to display content from smartphones and tablets on the larger screen, and conveniently connect laptops, PCs and essential accessories.”
The Dell UltraSharp 32 Ultra HD Monitor (UP3214Q) is available globally starting at US$3500. The Dell UltraSharp 24 Ultra HD Monitor (UP2414Q) is now available in North America, starting at US$1400. It will be available worldwide 16 December.
