Hardware hack of the day: make ice-cold candy from fridges’ ice dispenser

We’ve seen some ridiculous hardware hacks on YouTube in the past, featuring mega-consoles and X-Men-inspired Wolverine claws but this is at least something that everyone with a fridge (and no need for an ice dispenser) can attempt.

YouTuber Deric Peace decided that his fridge’s practical ice dispenser was too traditional, sensible and healthy for his Halloween plans.

So, being a hardware hacker on the internet, he filled it with candy. The result? A continuous stream of ice cold, thirst quenching candies and confectioneries.

We’re not sure how Peace has done it — he doesn’t exactly lay out any plans, unfortunately, or if his fridge is permanently destroyed after this adventure, but it’s pretty impressive nevertheless. Don’t believe the hype? Have a look at the video below.
