EA teases new ‘Need for Speed’ screen
Last year, Electronic Arts (EA) didn’t release a new entry into its popular Need for Speed series. This is the first time in a decade the yearly title hasn’t received a new entry. The company stated a new title was in the works, but would require an extended development cycle.
EA has released a teaser image for the new untitled game, but it doesn’t give away much. Featured above, the teaser shows a green sports car on a rain-slick road. The words “Speed Hunters” are printed on the car’s tyre, which could signify the name of the new entry. EA’s tweet also included the words, “Are you ready for the next chapter? #NFS”.
Given the past few years have focused around a devolution of car tuning, fans have been clamoring for a return to the days of Need for Speed: Underground and 2005’s Most Wanted.
