Ster-Kinekor extends South African ‘Mortal Kombat X’ Cup registration

Ster-Kinekor has announced that “due to the massive response to the South African Mortal Kombat Cup, the registrations for more competitors to participate have been re-opened.”

The Cup is a local competition organised by Ster-Kinekor that will see the best from Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg duke it out to find the best Mortal Kombat X player on South African soil.

The tournament will consist of three qualifying legs, and a grand final taking place in Johannesburg on 6 June. The winner will receive a 20th Anniversary Edition PlayStation 4 and a share of R30 000 in prize money. They will also represent South Africa in the global Mortal Kombat X Cup, which will take place at the Japan Expo in Paris, France.

It’s a pretty damn sweet prize.

Ofcourse, if you have no clue what Mortal Kombat X is, have a crack at our review here, and if you’re in the market of cracking skulls on consoles, you can register for the Cup here.
