How waterproof is the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus? [video]
With rumours suggesting that the iPhone 7 will be waterproof running about the internet, the world is obviously more curious to see just how otter-like the current iPhone 6S is. And why not? It’s only a US$649 phone.
Nevertheless, YouTuber Zach Straley decided this was a splendid idea and promptly dropped both the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus phablet into a bowl of the wet stuff with the timers ticking over.
And? Well, the results were rather impressive, so much so, that Straley decided to record two separate videos.

And if you didn’t find that impressive enough, have a look at Straley’s final take, a full 48-hours after giving the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus the only baths they’ll ever have.
It make for fairly impressive reading, especially considering that Apple has never claimed these devices to be watertight. We have seen other YouTubers try this with the previous generation iPhone 6, so its testament to the build quality of Apple products.
However, it does seem that a waterproof iPhone 7 would be a nice little badge Apple can place on the device that could more than likely be a world beater once again.
