Doom multiplayer beta will be bloodying servers from tomorrow

ID Software’s next incarnation of the Doom franchise will be released on 13 May. Until then, those eligible can play its multiplayer component and frag their “friends.”

Starting from tomorrow, and lasting until 3 April, eligible players will be able to take part in the Doom multiplayer closed beta. It will include the team death match and warpath modes playable with the Heatwave and Sacrilegious maps.

If you purchased a copy of Wolfenstein: The New Order and it came with a Doom code, you’ll need to redeem it through this website.

The last original Doom title was released back in 2004. Yes, it’s been 12 years since we were pitted against the forces of Hell, or aliens, or just ugly things to shoot with big guns.

Maybe, once the game is released, we’ll finally get news on another Quake game?

Doom (2016) will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. View the Doom multiplayer trailer below.
