Pinnacle Africa now sole distributor of Alienware in SA
Information and communications technology (ICT) distributor Pinnacle Africa has been awarded sole distribution rights for the Alienware brand by Dell.
Pinnacle will be the only official distributor of Alienware laptops, desktop PCs, and accessories in the Southern Africa region.
“The channel now has a tremendous opportunity to tap into a growing market looking for easy access to high-level performance from their gaming equipment without the fuss of having to build up their rigs themselves,” says Pinnacle Africa Dell Brand executive, Rory Green.
The company will be holding stock of basic configurations with stock landing early May. According to a Pinnacle representative, these units will start from a recommended retail price of R22 999 and head towards the R49 999 mark for more advanced configurations. Basic units will start off with an i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB hard drive.
Customers will also be able to request specifically configured units from Pinnacle, which will have a lead time of four weeks.
The Alienware range had previously been brought into SA and distributed by Tarsus Technology Group, Drive Control Corporation, and AxizWorkgroup. This is the first time the sub-brand has been officially consolidated under a single company.
