HP shows off world’s smallest all-in-one printer
In the midst of all things E3 2016, there actually is some other tech news. Tech company HP has unveiled what it calls the world’s smallest All-in-One (AiO) Deskjet (ink) printer.
According to a press release sent to Gearburn, the HP Deskjet 3720 is “half the size of other inkjet all-in-one printers in its class.” That means the device includes the ability to print, scan, and copy your documents.
“With its innovative design and intuitive mobile connectivity from virtually any device or social network, the HP DeskJet 3720 turns the traditional consumer printing experience on its head,” writes general manager and vice president of HP Consumer Printing, Sue Richards.
It supports A4, B5, A6, and DL envelope page sizes and a print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi.
The scanner can support 1200 x 1200 dpi and a speed of 15 seconds per scan, though this will depend on the quality of the scan.
The Deskjet 3720 also allows for wireless printing, which means you can print out pictures of your food as you’re eating said food. Android and iOS devices are able to connect to the printer via the HP All-in-One Remote. Mac OS devices are also supported with Apple AirPrint.
It will be available in South Africa around September. Price has yet to be confirmed.
The HP Deskjet series was labelled one of TIME Magazine’s 50 Most Influential Gadgets of All Time.
