Yup, the glacier white PS4 ‘slim’ model is coming to SA

In an announcement from local PlayStation distributor Ster-Kinekor, the company revealed that the ‘Glacier White’ version of the PS4 ‘slim’ will be making its way to the country. It will be available in South Africa “towards the end of February”.

Using the model number CUH-2000 series, the system will be identical to the standard ‘slim’ model, but with a white finish to the console and packed-in controller.

A white version of the original PS4 form factor was previously released.

Though the specifications in the press release mention both a 500GB and 1TB model, only the former has been given an RRP for South Africa, coming in at R5199.99.

The black version of the console will still be available for purchase.

Aside from South Africa, the variant will also be available in Europe, Japan, and Asia.
