Nintendo Switch JoyCons work natively on PC, Android, Mac
Recent Nintendo consoles allowed you to connect your controllers to a PC with some finagling. Now, it’s been reported that the Nintendo Switch’s JoyCon controllers work natively on PC and Android.
According to Nintendo Actu on Twitter, the Switch JoyCons are recognised natively on PC, showing up as two separate controllers. However, it’s noted that a utility such as JoyToKey is needed to map out buttons, so it’s not quite as seamless as you’d think.

The account adds that the JoyCon controllers also work on Android.
Mac users aren’t left out of the lurch either, as Twitter user Sam Williams (via The Verge) reports that the JoyCons work on Apple’s desktop operating system too. Interestingly enough, you don’t have to use button mapping utilities to get good results out of the box.
The news also comes a week after users discovered that the Switch Pro Controller worked natively on PC as well.
