Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to feature dual camera, 3x zoom?
We’ve recently seen images of a purported Galaxy S8 prototype with dual cameras, but it looks like Samsung will be taking this route with the Galaxy Note 8.
According to KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5 Google), the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a 12MP wide-angle camera and a 13MP camera with a telephoto lens. It’s claimed that the phone will also feature 3x optical zoom, presumably via the telephoto lens.
Additionally, Kuo claims that the “Note 8’s dual-camera will be much better than that of iPhone 7 Plus, and likely match that of OLED iPhone”. Of course, you’d expect the new smartphone’s camera to be better than a 2016 flagship, like the iPhone 7 Plus.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will apparently join the dual-camera club
The analyst says the new phone will apparently feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen (expect a high screen/body ratio), the choice of Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon 835 chip and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Otherwise, we’re expecting an iris scanner and IP68 water resistance as well.
The Note 8 news also comes as Samsung experiences record-breaking Galaxy S8 preorders in South Korea. Samsung reports that over one million preorders have taken place in its home country.
