ZTE designs and patents a phone with two notches

The notch is seemingly here to stay. At least for now. With Android P bringing support for the somewhat silly design feature, more smartphone manufacturers will likely adopt it.
But ZTE is taking it to the next level.
Forget the top notch. That’s child’s play. The bottom notch is seemingly the latest echelon of design.
A concept device was spotted created by the company, with an attached patent filed in China too.
The phone in question features a top notch — likely housing a camera, speaker and ambient light sensor — but more importantly, a bottom notch with a home button.
There’s no genuine indication that ZTE is working on this device, even if there is a patent filing describing it. But it’s interesting to note just how far manfacturers will go to increase that all important screen-to-body ratio.
