After dropping its second season back in July, Respawn Entertainment on Thursday revealed that Apex Legends season 3 will hit PCs and consoles next month.
Titled Meltdown, the season will feature more than 100 new items for players to collect, including Apex Packs and Legendary skins.
Apex Legends Season 3 will introduce players to a new Legend named Crypto as well.
“Cool, calm, collected Crypto deploys specialised surveillance drones to stay in the fight and out of the spotlight,” Respawn described on the game’s website.
The developer also revealed the character’s backstory in a YouTube video.
Additionally, Apex Legends Meltdown will feature the Charge Rifle, the game’s new “obliterating directed-energy weapon”.
Respawn plans to reveal more information about the upcoming season before Meltdown’s launch on 1 October 2019.
