The Huawei Nova 5T devices released around the world are now getting their Android 10 update, according to a report by HuaweiCentral (via HuaweiBlog).

Per the Huawei-centric outlet, the update is a stable release of EMUI 10, which is based on the latest version of Android.

While we haven’t yet seen the update on our review unit, users in Europe, East Asia and the Middle East can expect to see an update in the coming days.

Some users on Reddit also confirmed that they have received the update on their devices through the HiCare app.

The news follows Android 10 updates for the company’s P30 and Mate 20 series, however these updates have yet to roll out in South Africa at the time of writing.

Effectively the company’s year-end flagship, the Nova 5T arrived in South Africa earlier this month for R11 999.

It melds the Kirin 980 chipset with four rear cameras and a large screen with a punch-hole camera up front. But there’s a lot to like and dislike about this phone.

The EMUI 10 update should bring a number of software enhancements to this device, including a dark mode and other UI tweaks.
