Acer 2020 laptop launch: Prices, availability for South Africa

Last week, Acer announced a large range of new devices and product updates for 2020. But which of these products are coming to South Africa and how much will they cost?

New products launched by the company include a refreshed Predator Triton 300 gaming laptop, the Enduro rugged range, and new ConceptD 3 devices.

However, many of these devices have not been confirmed for the local market.

But the company has provided pricing and expected availability for some devices. You can find a summary below…

Acer Chromebooks

The Acer Chromebook Spin 311 will come to South Africa, with an expected launch date in September.

The laptop’s price will start at R5 999.

Acer Enduro laptop

Of the Enduro range of rugged devices, Acer has only confirmed that the Enduro N3 will launch in South Africa.

The N3 is the lighter, higher-performance counterpart of the other laptop in the company’s Enduro range.

The laptop will cost R19 999, Acer says.

Swift 5 in South Africa

Acer announced a refresh of the Swift 5 ultra-thin-and-light laptop.

The company says that the Swift 5 Stonic_RNS will come to South Africa in November, with its price starting at R16 999.

Predator Triton 300 and 500

Good news for gamers is that both the Predator Triton 300 and the Triton 500 will come to South Africa in September.

The Triton 300’s price will start at R34 999, while the Triton 500 will start at R39 999.

Predator Helios 300

The 2020 refresh of the Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop will also come to South Africa in September.

Prices for the laptop will start at R24 999. There’s no word yet on whether the Helios 700 will land on local shores this year.

Acer ConceptD 3 Ezel

For creatives intrigued by the ConceptD 3 Ezel convertible laptop, Acer has announced that the device will come to South Africa in December.

Both the 14-inch and 15-inch versions of the laptop will be sold locally.

The ConceptD 3 Ezel (14-inch) ‘s price will start at R19 999, while the price for the ConceptD 3 Ezel (15-inch) will start at R24 999.
