While Vivo is known for its affordable smartphones like the Y12 and Y30, the company has released its latest premium devices on local shores — the X50 and X50 Pro.

Both smartphones are heavily marketed on their camera performance and premium design.

“The X50 series is a professional photography flagship smartphone for consumers to record and share the best moments of their lives in a simple way,” says Hawa Hyath, Marketing Director for Vivo Mobile SA.

The X50 and X50 Pro feature a quadruple-lens 48MP main camera setup. They also have software that helps the cameras perform in low-light settings, along with optical image stabilisation (OIS).

Meanwhile, the X50 Pro has gimbal technology that offers enhanced stabilisation that outpaces OIS.

Other features of both phones include AMOLED displays with a 90Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM, and large batteries. Each smartphone has an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Both devices also support 5G networks.
