Nokia 215 4G: Nokia launches R300 phone in South Africa
HMD Global has launched a new 4G phone feature phone, the Nokia 215, in South Africa — which costs just under R300.
The Nokia 215 4G includes 4G connectivity with modern features and capabilities encased “in a trusted, durable design” of a feature phone.
Thanks to its 4G support, users can voice over LTE (VoLTE) to make voice calls on 4G networks.
HMD Global says that seamless navigation on web browsers and multiplayer gaming are all possible at an affordable price.
The device is aimed at consumers who need an ultra-affordable device capable of simple web browsing. The form factor suits those looking for comfort and durability.
However, since it’s not a smartphone, it can’t run smartphone apps like WhatsApp. But it can access websites and web-based apps.
This includes social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook.
Features include an FM radio, try-and-buy games like Crossy Road, and the cult classic game Snake.
