For those who have been looking forward to more Xiaomi flagship devices launching in South Africa, the company has announced the arrival of the Xiaomi 12.
This follows the local launches of mid-range Xiaomi devices earlier this year, such as the Redmi Note 11 series launch and the Redmi 10 launch.

The Xiaomi 12 includes several premium flagship features, such as a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 4nm processor, a 120Hz AMOLED display, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Atmos.
Other features of the smartphone include a 50MP triple-lens main camera setup, a 32MP front camera, a 45000mAh battery, and 5G & Wi-Fi 6 support.
Xiaomi has also introduced interesting features such as 8K video recording capabilities.

The Xiaomi 12 on sale in South Africa is the 8GB/256GB version, which has a recommended price of R17,999.
The device is on sale at a variety of online retailers, including Takealot and Mobile in Africa.
Listings for the phone include a free Xiaomi Watch S1 Active smartwatch in the purchase.
The phone is available in the Blue and Grey colour options locally.
