Brainstorm effortlessly with Apple’s Freeform
Apple has launched Freeform a new app to help users organize and layout content on a flexible canvas, with the ability to share and collaborate.
Freeform, is basically an interactive notepad which allows users the freedom to share and add a wide range of files, and previews, without leaving the canvas.
The app is designed for collaborations and makes it easier to invite others to work on a board together.
The great thing about this app is that users can collaborate with others while on a FaceTime call.
All content created on the canvas or board are stored in iCloud, so users can stay in sync across devices.
The app is available on the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS and macOS.
Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing the feature opened up endless possibilities for iPhone, iPad and Mac users to visually collaborate.
“With an infinite canvas, support for uploading a wide range of files, iCloud integration, and collaboration capabilities, Freeform creates a shared space for brainstorming that users can take anywhere.”
The infinite canvas expands as content is added to the board for unlimited flexibility when working with many files or collaborating with others.
Freeform has a variety of brush styles and color options to draw, sketch ideas, add comments, and draw diagrams.
Users can use their finger to draw on the canvas or use an Apple pencil, the app allows seamless brainstorming on the go.
The app supports a range of file formats including photos, audio, video, documents, PDF’s including links to websites.
Users have access to sticky notes, shapes, diagrams, and more, including access to camera’s in order to insert an image.
There are about 700 options to choose from allowing users to change the colour text, or create personalized shapes.
Drag, drop content onto the canvas, it’s that easy with the new feature from Apple.
The app is perfect for sketching ideas, think tattoo artists, a home renovation project or coaches, this feature is a win for all and allows across device sharing.
