Death Stranding launching in 2019 according to Best Buy
Hideo Kojima’s open world stealth game Death Stranding could be launching in 2019, if an eagle-eyed Redditor — and Best Buy Canada — are to be believed.
The post published to r/DeathStranding reveals a promotional card from the store for the PS4 exclusive with a sticker reading “Available 2019”.
“Bring this card ti the cashier to pre-order this game (Requires $10 deposit),” Best Buy’s card reads.
The game’s also available to preorder — rather optimistically — via its website, for CA$79.99.
While it’s not proof that Death Stranding is indeed set for launch this year. the title was first showcased at 2016’s edition of E3. It could well launch this year.
However, Kojima Productions and Sony have yet to announce an official release date for the game, nor have we seen much more than minimal gameplay at E3 2018, so take the above with a pinch of salt.
