South Africans really, really want local Apex Legends servers
You’ve probably heard the news, Respawn-developed Apex Legends is already a hit and its only been out in the universe for two weeks.
This can be confirmed by 25 million players who joined Electronic Arts’ battle royale in its first week. Me included.
Now, a player named Ruan Van Vliet has started a petition to get African servers for the game, as spotted by Glitched.
“This is a petition for public servers on the continent, for all platforms. We love the game, we want to invest in it. We want to experience it the way it was meant to be experienced,” Van Vliet’s petition reads.
Even if you’re a Fortnite fan, the petition will likely benefit more than just Apex players. EA gaming servers in Africa will benefit a multitude of players across the company’s gaming roster.
The goal is set at 7500 signatures, and currently, just over 5800 people have signed.
