Apple to debut its AR headset in 2020, analyst believes
A new report by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo on Wednesday suggested that Apple may be planning to release its own AR headsets next year.
Spotted by 9to5Mac, the report believes that Apple will release the headset along with the new iPad Pro and iPhone SE 2.
Kuo believes that the headset will be primarily powered by a connected iPhone and that Apple will release the device in partnership with third-party companies.
Further details about the AR headset, which would be a first of its kind for Apple, are currently unknown.
Kuo’s report, however, further noted that the upcoming iPad Pro will feature improved camera depth and rear 3D time-of-flight sensors.
Though Apple has already dropped its new range of iPhones, the company is still expected to reveal the 16-inch MacBook Pro with scissor switch keyboard later this year.
