Microsoft ‘Surface Phone’ currently being tested by suppliers [Rumour]
What started as just a rumour at the beginning of October, is now gaining traction. Microsoft is reportedly currently in collaboration with Asian suppliers, and is testing its own smartphone. With all the changes it has made over the past year like a new OS, a tablet and slowly moving away from producing just software, the rumour has gained momentum.
While the Redmond, Washington-based company has always promoted its hardware partners, like Nokia and HTC, sources say that a Microsoft “Surface phone” would likely take a back seat at first. With the release of the Surface Tablet, Microsoft’s says that it could also be moving towards producing hardware. CEO Steve Ballmer has been making a lot of changes, saying that a “devices-and-services company” is the future, adding even more to the rumours.
According to reports/rumours, the phone will sport a screen between four and five inches.
